Super clean and recently renovated, the Queen Room featured a large shower that I really appreciated. The sitting room was cozy. It was particularly quiet, even on a Friday night, unexpected given the hotel is above a bar. The bathrooms were super clean, shared but well maintained. A bit more hanging space in the room would have been helpful, especially for wet towels and clothes. The lighting in the hallway was a bit bright for late-night returns, and those with mobility issues should note the steep stairs. The location was convenient to shops and restaurants.

Thank you for a GREAT stay. Lovely historic traditional place, it has great and stunning location close enough to the centre of Helensburgh, beaches and good food locations and the royal national park and the simbio wildlife park.

More pros than cons, but still.
The location is fantastic-great for ventures into Southern Sydney! Staff were friendly, and the recently refurbished large rooms were clean. The shared bathrooms were restored elegantly and super excellent.
Noise from downstairs could be distracting, especially in the evenings. Plus, the shared bathrooms were beautiful but not very private.

The bathrooms were impressively clean and modern, but noise from the pokies room was quite distracting.

Had a fantastic weekend with an amazingly modern and clean bathroom that really impressed me. The cozy rooms felt just like home, but my only gripe was the stingy sauce portions with dinner. Still, I'd totally come back!
